Hi! I’m Teacher Flores! As you can see my classrooms are ‘Blooming’ with flowers. My last name ‘Flores’ means flowers in Spanish and it bringing me joy to help little ones bloom in the classroom. I am a teacher raised in Rochester, NY who just recently relocated to Florida. I am a mom of two little ones. I have spent 14 years in the classroom and it has been my life passion to teach. I graduated from a four-year university and have a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Childhood Education and Spanish. I also received my masters in Bilingual Education. I previously taught in a bilingual charter school for 14 years. I have also taught special education and general education at one of the public schools. I have also worked for a University helping future teachers working to fulfill the requirements of the Teaching English as a Second Language certification.
My mission is to create a classroom environment that is fun, creative, engaging and entertaining for young learners. I teach Spanish and academic lessons that will focus on engaging our learners while providing a safe virtual space where kids can interact, be creative, and focus on hands-on learning. I believe in team work- together we can help our young learners love learning through topics they love.
As a previous educator and mom, I know some supplies may not be easy to have at hand. My goal is to make this opportunity easy to prep before hand. I will send personalized work pages for your child that will give them an opportunity to practice the skills taught in the lesson. I will keep materials simple: crayons, markers, glue etc. All materials needed will be listed in the description.
